Cran-Apple Pie Old Fashioned

Ingredients (1 serve):

  • 60 ml dark Bourbon infused with Orchard Ruby kit
  • 10 ml spiced syrup (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove – see note) 
  • 5 ml maple syrup (or honey, for richness) 
  • 2–3 dashes aromatic bitters (Angostura or similar) 
  • 1 small pinch sea salt (enhances the pie flavours) 
  • Ice (large cube preferred) 
  • Garnish: Thin slice of dried apple Fresh cranberry on cocktail pick light dusting of ground cinnamon over the drink 

Instructions:

  • In a short rocks glass, place a large ice cube
  • In a mixing glass, combine infused alcohol, spiced syrup, maple syrup, bitters, and sea salt
  • Add ice and stir for 15–20 seconds until well-chilled and slightly diluted
  • Strain over the large ice cube in your rocks glass
  • Garnish: Rest the dried apple slice on top and skewer the cranberry
  • Lightly dust with cinnamon for aroma

Spiced Syrup Note:

  • Simmer 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 cinnamon sticks, ½ tsp nutmeg, and 4–5 whole cloves for 5–7 mins
  • Cool, strain, and store refrigerated
