Cran-Apple Pie Old Fashioned
Ingredients (1 serve):
- 60 ml dark Bourbon infused with Orchard Ruby kit
- 10 ml spiced syrup (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove – see note)
- 5 ml maple syrup (or honey, for richness)
- 2–3 dashes aromatic bitters (Angostura or similar)
- 1 small pinch sea salt (enhances the pie flavours)
- Ice (large cube preferred)
- Garnish: Thin slice of dried apple Fresh cranberry on cocktail pick light dusting of ground cinnamon over the drink
Instructions:
- In a short rocks glass, place a large ice cube
- In a mixing glass, combine infused alcohol, spiced syrup, maple syrup, bitters, and sea salt
- Add ice and stir for 15–20 seconds until well-chilled and slightly diluted
- Strain over the large ice cube in your rocks glass
- Garnish: Rest the dried apple slice on top and skewer the cranberry
- Lightly dust with cinnamon for aroma
Spiced Syrup Note:
- Simmer 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 cinnamon sticks, ½ tsp nutmeg, and 4–5 whole cloves for 5–7 mins
- Cool, strain, and store refrigerated
